I am having a bit of a dilema. I really got on well with the Volkl AC4 titanium ski this year in 170.

I have some Volkl AC40\'s ski\'s on hold with the in 177cm (good deal at this length but not available in 170).

The question is would I be advised to increase length, given the following:

175cm tall
76kg
Level 8-9 skier (advanced/expert)

Spend 90% of time off piste, but often not far off piste i.e. its often tracked powder/crud.

I normally ski Bandits.

I\'d really appreciate any advice on this.

Thanks

Ben

I am the Irish Guards alpine ski captain. The team has a very small budget but needs to buy four race suits, either new or second hand. Any ideas where to look?

I am travelling to Livigno, Italy and managed to book through a great company called Livigno Snow (www.livignosnow.com) They were efficient, helpful and most importantly cost effective. You book your own ryan air flights which cuts the costs and they do the rest. The girl that runs it is called Nikki and can be contacted at info@livignosnow.com

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I want to watch World Cup races on TV, but they are not available here in the US. I recently read that Channel 4 will be airing many of this winter\'s races.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to record these races and send them to me (if you had a TIVO you could just set it to record all the races, and after each one send it to the computer though a USB cable and email it to me). If you can help in anyway I would really appreciate it.

Also, if you cannot record the shows for me, but know someone who can, or know of another forum where there would be many people from the UK interested in skiing, please let me know.

Thanks,
Matt

I have just started skiing last season, and after going to the dry ski slope for a few lessons i was not progressing too fast. I then heard about some new simulators based in Barham near canterbury.
Simulators? whats that all about? aparently half an hour on one of these machines is the equivelent of 5 hours on dry So i thought that i would give them a try.
wow, whoever came up with that idea is a genius. i really started to improve. The atention you get from the instructors is great so i really started to understand the technical side of skiing not to mention having a bloody good work out. If you are wanting to improve your skiing you should really have a go down there and have a try, but be prepared to really give your muscles a good work out.
